Using All Your Brevity and Skills to Write a 1 Page Essay
Writing a 1 page essay might not be as easy as it seems to you. Do not run away with the idea that a 1 page essay requires less work and skills than a longer one.
The matter is that writing 1 page essays may sometimes be even more complicated because you have the same structure and content requirements, but need to be very brief when expressing your ideas. So, think twice before postponing the writing of your 1 page essay to the last minute.
Writing a 1 page essay: What to pay attention to
1 page essay, like any essay, demands large volume of work to be done:
- Reading the text about which it should be written (if any).
- Searching for the sources to support your arguments with.
- Analyzing and researching the issue that you have to deal with in your 1 page essay.
- Formatting the paper correctly (following all the format requirements, compiling a Reference List (Works Cited page, etc), sometimes even writing an outline).
- Proof-reading and editing (which are most effective with 1 page essays because they can be done more than once or even twice).
Remember, that you do not have space for long introductory phrases and linking elements. It is better to use this space for discussion. Brevity should be your first assistant when you write a 1 page essay.
When shaping your arguments, pay attention to the most important (dates, facts, citations to be used, and so on). You may start with creating a rough outline of what you are planning to write and then delete the sections which, as you think, your 1 page essay could do without.
The last thing: do not ignore the rules of writing! This is a 1 page essay, but it is as important as the rest of written works.
